We’ve heard some pretty ridiculous swap deals suggested over the years, but this one is particularly silly.
We know that Antonio Conte loves N’Golo Kante, and is desperate to sign him for Inter Milan. Why wouldn’t he be? That part all makes sense.
What is preposterous is the way that ESPN are suggesting the Italian side formulate such a transfer – a swap for Christian Eriksen.
They don’t mention their source, just a report from Italy on the general idea that Inter want Kante.
There’s just so much wrong with this – why would Chelsea want Eriksen, when they are well covered in that position with younger players? Why would they want to give away one of the best and most experienced players in their team, in a position where they already lack a little depth.
Please guys, if you’re going to make up rumours, try and make them a little more convincing.
