Conor Gallagher made a real impact in the Championship last season, first with Charlton and then with Swansea after upgrading in January.
It was no surprise to see him make the step up to the Premier League this term, although of course a young player with just 1 season’s experience in senior football was always going to have to settle for a relegation battling team if he wanted playing time.
He’s certainly found that at West Brom. The Baggies are glued to the bottom of the table, and they look like they’re going to struggle to make it out of the relegation zone at any point this season.
That hasn’t stopped Gallagher impressing though, and last night he played well in yet another defeat, this time to Fulham.

As you can see from the graphics above, he was absolutely everywhere for his team.
A week before it was the same story against Brighton. The midfielder couldn’t have done more for his team, but they came away empty handed:

We’ve got a feeling we’re going to be saying this a few more times this season: they may lose every game, but Conor is leaning so much about playing at the top level, and every minute of experience along the way will be good for him.
