Chelsea have given players aged 21 or under more minutes than any other club this season

When Frank Lampard arrived at Chelsea last summer he was facing a transfer ban and was unable to bring any new players in.

This gave many of the younger players a decent chance to break into the team as a regular, something that has not really happened for many years.

The likes of Reece James, Mason Mount, and Tammy Abraham really took advantage and are still regulars for Lampard this season.

But even after all the new signings arrived last season, Lampard is still keeping an emphasis on having a very young, energetic and fresh squad.

In fact, according to OptaJoe, Chelsea have given players aged 21 or under 1791 minutes of playing time in the Premier League so far this season; more than any other club.

Lampard has proven that he is not afraid to put his trust in the young players, and largely they have been rewarding his trust with good performances.
