Frank Lampard mixed up his Chelsea team for last night’s game with Krasnodar, playing plenty of his first team, but introducing two new faces on the wings.
Callum Hudson-Odoi started on the left and got the opening goal of the game, and after the game the manager was asked about his decision to introduce the young academy player into the team.
“Callum has trained very well recently” Lampard explained.
“We’re also in the middle of a very busy patch of games so we need input from all the attacking players,” the manager went on to say.
There’s more to come from Callum, but getting into the team and getting a goal is a great starting point, and he’s given his coach something to think about when it comes to picking his team this weekend.
