Poll: These Chelsea fans call for a return of the 4-3-3 formation

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard made a pinnacle in-game tactical switch against Krasnodar on Wednesday night that saw his team go from struggling at 1-0 up, to thrashing their opponents 4-0 midway through the second half.

The Blues looked rather laboured and lacklustre in the 4-2-3-1 formation in the first half, and they were struggling to beat their injury-hit Russian opponents.

But Lampard soon switched things up and bought N’Golo Kante on to play in the holding role, with Kai Havertz and Mason Mount playing ahead of him as two attacking number 8s.

This is the line up some Chelsea fans want to see again today against Burnley in the Premier League.

The WAGNH poll suggests that 63% of Chelsea fans that voted want to see a 4-3-3 formation today.

And this is the line up they are selecting..

Mendy (98%) | Chilwell (92%), Silva (98%), Zouma (75%), James (83%) | Mount (66%), Kanté (94%), Havertz (80%) | Pulisic (95%), Werner (71%), Ziyech (88%).

I agree entirely that this is Chelsea’s current best starting line up.
