Mason Mount was England’s winning goalscorer on Sunday afternoon as they beat Belgium, and he certainly looked like he was enjoying the chance to be a starter for the Three Lions.
He was later asked in a press conference whether he ever held anything back when he was playing for his country as opposed to Chelsea, and as you might expect he denied it totally.
“You have to go 100%” he explained, before revealing that his club had never told him to ease off when playing for his country, as they understood the demands and the expectations of football at that level.
