Frank Lampard turned down chance to sign former Spurs star this summer

Chelsea had a fantastic summer in terms of signing new players, so much so that it had their rivals mouths watering.

Players like Kai Havertz and Timo Werner arrived, and Chelsea really announced themselves back on the scene as one of the big players in the game.

Lampard now looks to build and blend his new squad of shiny stars ready to close the gap on the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City.

Despite having a great summer, there was other deals that could potentially have happened.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano was the go-to guy for transfer exclusives this window and he is known for his great inside information.

On his latest podcast, Here We Go, he has delivered some more interesting information regarding Chelsea.

Romano said that Frank Lampard rejected a chance to sign former Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen from Inter Milan.

Inter were offering him as part of attempts to sign Marcos Alonso, Emerson Palmieri, or N’Golo Kante this summer.
