Frank Lampard reveals the last two injured Chelsea players as squad returns to full strength

Frank Lampard is giving his press conference ahead of the game against Manchester United tomorrow, and as always he started with an injury update.

It’s good news overall. The Blues boss revealed that Kepa has a shoulder injury and therefore wouldn’t even travel to Manchester. Apart from that, and the long term problem for Billy Gilmour, he’s got a full squad to choose from.

It’s been an absolute battle getting this side together, especially with international breaks disrupting things. It’s a huge relief to know that Lampard will be able to pick his preferred XI, and even rely on his strongest subs off the bench.

That raises questions about what the starting side will be, and we may finally get some idea of what his ideas for the long term future of this side are.

In goal we’ll see Edouard Mendy, that’s for sure. But in attack and midfield, there are a limited number of spots for a lot of very talented players.
