Former Blue names Chelsea player who will be an “absolute nightmare” for Harry Maguire

Chelsea have a big game this afternoon in the 5.30pm Premier League match.

The Blues have travelled to Manchester to face United in what has already become a vital game for both clubs.

They have both had a stuttering start to the season and will be looking for nothing less than all three points today.

Old Trafford is a hard place to go and get a win at, but Chelsea must look at United’s start to the season and believe they have a good chance to go and beat them today.

One way they can do this is by utilising the pace and quality of new striker Timo Werner, and former Chelsea right back Glen Johnson believes Werner will be an “absolute nightmare” for United defender, Harry Maguire.

Johnson was speaking ahead of today’s game, and he believes if Maguire plays, then Werner can have a field day against a defender who is off-form and struggling for confidence.

As reported by The Daily Star, Johnson said:

“If I’m Timo Werner, I’d be like, ‘Please play [Maguire]!’, I really would.

“I think he would be an absolute nightmare for him.

“But I agree, in the bigger picture, it’s hard to leave your captain out and obviously he’s a big player for them.

“But on that last performance, if I’m [Axel] Tuanzebe, I’d be thinking: ‘Why aren’t I playing?’”
