Ferdinand: “Frank is a winner” and “capable of challenging for some silverware” but needs to find “that rhythm”

Chelsea fans appear to have pretty mixed views about how Frank Lampard’s reign as manager of the club is going so far.

He has had a stuttering time so far, that cannot be denied. He has got his team playing some good football at times and got some good results, but it is just not happening consistently enough right now.

All the new signings arrived this summer to help with this, and of course, they must be given time to gel, and Lampard must be given time with this new group of players.

Most fans will allow patience here and let Lampard build that something special that so many believe he is doing at Chelsea.

Former England defender Rio Ferdinand believes that Lampard is very much building something good at Chelsea, but he just needs to find that groove and that rhythm.

Ferdinand thinks that Lampard is more than capable of winning honours as a manager at Chelsea, as reported by The Chelsea Chronicle.

He said:

“Champions League football, finishing in the Champions League positions and winning a cup.

“I think that’ll be the demands from Frank himself.

“Frank’s a winner. He’s accustomed to winning at Chelsea. He knows what the owners are asking but also the fans there.

“And I think he’s got a squad together that are going to be capable of challenging for some silverware once they get in that groove and in that rhythm.”
