How Ethan Ampadu and Thiago Silva faired in latest Wales and Brazil matches

There was another round of international matches last night across the globe, and there was plenty of Chelsea players in action.

Ethan Ampadu was on the winning Wales side and played 90 minutes to help Ryan Giggs’ men beat Bulgaria 1-0 in The Nations League.

The youngster ‘acquitted himself well, put in some key challenges, used the ball carefully and didn’t do too much wrong’ according to Wales Online. They rated him 6/10.

He is yet to find his position and is often switching between centre back and centre midfield. Last night, he played centre midfield.

Meanwhile, Thiago Silva captained his Brazil side to a 4-2 win over Peru in the World Cup Qualifiers.

Silva played 90 minutes but he ‘was given a tough time by Jefferson Farfan, and he also had to deal with plenty of crosses from the flanks. He never erred but wasn’t exactly spectacular either’, according to Sportskeeda. They rated him 6/10.

90 minutes in the tank will hopefully have done him good ahead of Chelsea’s game against Southampton on Saturday, although perhaps Frank Lampard would have preferred it if he didn’t play the whole game last night.
