Confirmed Chelsea Champions League team news – Silva rested, Rudiger in contention to start

Chelsea have just arrived in Russia and are preparing to face Krasnodar in their second Group stage match of the Champions League.

In this competition there is never an easy match, but Chelsea must really be going out to take all three points tomorrow.

Blues boss Frank Lampard has sent an almost fully fit 22-man squad over to Russia, albeing with the exception of Thiago Silva, Marcos Alonso, Kepa Arrizabalaga, and of course the injured Billy Gilmour.

Kepa is also still injured and Alonso suspended, but Silva looks to be getting a rest and is being saved for Burnley at the weekend.

Goal journalist Nizaar Kinsella believes we could see big changes in Chelsea’s line up tomorrow, and there is a chance we could see Hakim Ziyech from the start.

Lampard himself has been addressing the media this evening and giving some updates. He confirmed that Antonio Rudiger is in contention to start tomorrow.
