Chelsea wanted a win last night against Sevilla in the Champions League, but a draw with a clean sheet is a decent platform.
Now they need to take that defensive solidity into this weekend’s game with Manchester United, while adding some of the attacking flair they’d shown in previous games.
One key component to that is Timo Werner. The German striker looked tired last night, and we desperately need him fresh to see him at his best.
The question is whether to play him this weekend against Manchester United, or whether to give him a break.
When TalkChelsea writer Will Faulks asked that very question in a Tweet today, the results were clear:
Timo Werner looked tired last night. He also gets drastically less effective when he's not fresh and sharp. Would you rest him against Manchester United this weekend?

It seems like despite him looking off the pace last night, fans are determined to get the former Leipzig man back on the pitch to compete with United and try to get a crucial goal.
He can then rest in our Champions League game next week.
