Anyone who thought this was going to be an easy game for Chelsea tonight was far wrong.
Brighton have talent, a good manager, and are a far more settled team than us. After they equalised in the second half, it looked likely we’d drop points. It took Reece James’ super strike straight afterwards to give us the momentum, and as he explained in his interview after the game, the team “pushed up a gear” to put the game beyond the Seagulls.
Let’s hope next week we’re in top gear from the first minute.
