Frank Lampard looked about as angry as we’ve ever seen him at half time tonight. His team were 3-0 down to West Brom and looked mentally shot.
He turned them round at the break though, and ended up 3-3.
Asked after the game to analyse what went wrong, Lampard pointed out that the goals had come from “pure mistakes” – for example Thiago Silva letting the ball get nicked off his toes when he’s the last man.
Lampard added that they weren’t “team goals” – as in, there was nothing particularly tactically wrong. That might be stretching a bit, but we know what he means.
