Chelsea have signed a number of players, and have a number more still to come, meaning it’s vital they shift some of their squad players sooner rather than later.
One of those they appear keen to get rid of is Tiemoue Bakayoko. After one disastrous year in the team, and two more on loan, the France midfielder has been linked with a return to AC Milan, where he had one of those temporary spells.
It’s been hanging in the air for a while, but the latest Tweet from insider and TuttoMercatoWeb writer Daniele Longo puts a vague date on proceedings.

He says it’s “possible” that the deal is done this weekend. It’s hardly a bold, out there brave attempt at predicting what will happen, but it fits in with the sense of the general momentum of the deal that we have already.
Once he’s gone, we can move on to the rest of the deadwood who need to be shifted.
