The Edouard Mendy to Chelsea saga has certainly been a bit of a whirlwind tale so far.
However, the deal finally looks close to completion as the 28-year old said goodbye to his Rennes team mates on Friday, according to L’Equipe.
The same publication have confirmed that neither Fikayo Tomori or Olivier Giroud will be involved in the deal, despite the French side pushing hard for it.
Breaking | L'Équipe now anticipate that Chelsea & Rennes' agreement for Édouard Mendy will be concluded at around the €25m mark. They suggest that attempts to include Olivier Giroud and Fikayo Tomori in the deal have not succeeded.

It seemed that the hold up to the deal was Rennes pushing this ‘add on’ to it. But the agreement has been concluded without Tomori heading the other way, as per the same report from L’Equipe.

However, it appears that Tomori ‘might’ be going somewhere, as he allegedly cleared out his Cobham based flat on Friday.

It does appear to be Tomori’s apartment, and it does seem like he will be the centre back leaving, so this could be legit.

But could he just be upgrading to another apartment? Could he be going on a Premier League loan move? Or could he still end up going to Rennes?
