Michy Batshuayi is set to rejoin Crystal Palace on loan, according to a report in the Daily Mail today.
The striker spent the second half of the 2018-2019 season in South London, where he netted a few goals but didn’t set the world alight.
Still, he clearly did enough to impress Roy Hodgson, who has been willing to take him on once again.
According to the report, the Belgium striker will also sign a one year extension to his contract, in line with the club’s policy of not loaning out players with less than 2 years to run on their deal.
Hopefully he can play a decent amount, score some goals, and raise his price for a nice sale next summer.
Interestingly, we’d previously heard strong links between Palace and Conor Gallagher, but a successful move for Batshuayi would rule that out, given top tier clubs can only sign one player from each other at a time.
