Chelsea fans got so excited about Kai Havertz arriving that they almost forgot about how excited they were about Timo Werner before that. And they got so excited about Timo Werner that they’ve largely forgotten how excited they were about Hakim Ziyech arriving.
The fact that the former Ajax man is still injured has also pushed him to the back of the queue, but he’s not been forgotten in the club. The Daily Mail have quoted from Rio Ferdinand where he reveals that Frank Lampard has been speaking to him about the tricky Morocco star:
"I spoke to Frank the other day about Ziyech and he said: "His passing is ridiculous.
"I'm looking to see when he cuts with his left foot and has the likes of Mount, Werner, Havertz etc making runs, and I think he will be putting it on a plate for them."

“I spoke to Frank the other day about Ziyech and he said ‘his passing is ridiculous’,” Rio claimed.
That was evident in the one game he’s played for Chelsea so far, a friendly win over Brighton where his left footed first time pass over the top created the Blues’ only goal of the game.
This weekend might be a little soon for him, but it won’t be long before we get to see those magic feet in action for real.
