It’s an exciting time to be following Chelsea right now. And fans, players, and even former players are fully aware of this.
Chelsea have signed a host of top class new signings during this summers transfer window, and one of those players is really exciting former Chelsea star, Alan Hudson.
Timo Werner was the second high profile signing to be confirmed by Chelsea this summer, with the German international arriving after Hakim Ziyech.
He is likely to be handed his first start in a competitive Chelsea match this evening at Stamford Bridge with The Blues hosting Brighton in their first game in the Premier League’s new campaign.
Hudson believes that Werner will win The Golden Boot Award in the league this season, describing him as a ‘tremendous’ signing and having ‘lightning quick’ pace.
The 69-year old has been talking to Caught Offside ahead of the game tonight, and he is very excited to see Werner play.
“Now, everything is all about the young German Timo Werner, who if they continue to create chances, will be after the Golden Boot.
“If (Tammy) Abraham got a decent amount of goals, this player should win the Boot hands down. He’s lightning quick and will be nearly the perfect replacement for Hazard, if only he had the Belgian up there with him.
“A tremendous signing who, if only they had a crowd, would have them buzzing. He will be the difference this season!”
