Conor Gallagher has signed a new contract at Chelsea, with only the announcement of the new deal pending.
That’s according to Oliver Harbord of Football.London, who says the midfielder put pen to paper yesterday, and is on the verge of completing his loan move to West Bromwich Albion.
Conor Gallagher signed his new Chelsea contract yesterday and his loan to West Brom is set to be announced. Aston Villa showed some late interest in taking him, but he's set to play at the Hawthorns this season. #cfc

Chelsea are evidently keen to announce the two moves together in one go, hence the delay on reporting his new contract as signed.
West Brom should be an ideal situation for the 21 year old, who shone in the Championship last year with both Charlton and Swansea, to step up to the top flight.

With a limited squad they’re likely to struggle to stay up, but that means plenty of games for Conor, and plenty of learning to be done as Slaven Bilic’s team battle to stay up.
With games coming thick and fast, hopefully this can be tied up today or tomorrow, to allow him the chance to play his first game this weekend.
