Ben Chilwell was pictured in Chelsea training today, alongside Thiago Silva, his fellow new arrival in defence.
We’ve already written about how unlikely Silva is to start that game, and Chilwell is far more of an outside bet, in our opinion.

While Silva played in the Champions League final just a few weeks ago, Chilwell hasn’t had a game since the 4th of July, when he went off injured at half time against Crystal Palace while he was still playing for Leicester.
He has been training longer than Silva, and also doesn’t have to adapt to a new league or language, but the fact he will be so out of match shape means there’s little chance Frank Lampard risks him against Liverpool’s dangerous front 3 on Sunday.
He will be in the team as soon as Lampard thinks he can risk him, but an easing into action seems in order after an injury absence like that.
