If there is one signing you want to emulate at Chelsea, it’s Ashley Cole.
Arriving from a rival, for an amazingly cheap price, the former Arsenal player dominated his position for a long period and gave his all for Chelsea.
He’s even stuck around at the club, currently working with the youth teams at Cobham.
It was there that our new man in his position, Ben Chilwell, ran into Cole.
Chilwell made a post on his social media revealing that he had been spending the afternoon chatting to the “legend”, whom he hopes to emulate at Stamford Bridge.
If he gets even halfway there he can consider himself a success. Cole helped take us to two Champions League finals and won one of them, along with a host of other trophies.
As it stands, Chilwell doesn’t have the same defensive abilities that Cole did. However he’s dangerous in the attacking third, and with a little bit of work can become a really top all round threat.
