Bayern linked with unlikely contact with Callum Hudson-Odoi

Bayern Munich are “in contact” with Callum Hudson-Odoi, according to a report today by Sky Sport Germany.

The winger spent most of the first half of last season working his way back from injury, but by the end of the season saw Christian Pulisic and Willian taking up most of his playing time.

Now the latter has left, but Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner and Kai Havertz have all arrived as extra competition, and according to Sky this has lead to the idea that Hudson-Odoi might go on loan to play more often.

Bayern famously chased CHO before he signed his new contract at Chelsea 18 months ago, and apparently are still interested.

Frankly, it seems very unlikely. None of those players are natural wingers, and on that front he’s only really competing with Pulisic now that Willian and Pedro are gone.

If he struggles for games this season again, we can see something happening in a year’s time. But at the moment it feels like a very outlandish suggestion.
