Two Chelsea stars nominated for Premier League Young Player of the Year

The nominees for the Premier League Young Player of the Year Award have been released, and there are two Chelsea names on the list.

That shouldn’t be surprising, given the Blues team this season was largely made up of a group of youngsters getting a load of minutes at last to prove their worth.

Christian Pulisic and Mason Mount made the list, but there are plenty more who could feel hard done by. Tammy Abraham will feel harshly done by, and players like Fikayo Tomori and Reece James could have been in the mix if they’d continued their early season form.

Mount and Pulisic are worthy contestants, and the fact they were our two best players after the restart will only have helped their chances.

Unfortunately being nominated is about as far as they’re likely to get, given Trent Alexander-Arnold is likely to walk away with the award after a simply amazing season at right back for the champions.
