Thiago Silva’s impressive stats from final PSG game with Chelsea watching on

Thiago Silva has been a rock for PSG over the years, but his time as captain in Paris has finally come to an end, and it seems as though Chelsea are in prime position to sign him.

He couldn’t have finished on a bigger stage, walking off the pitch beaten against Bayern Munich in Lisbon but with his head held high after a battling performance against the in-form Robert Lewandowski.

Absolute Chelsea shared two Tweets after the game with a host of stats to assess his performance.

Of course those numbers are only so useful in isolation, but from watching the game it was clear he’s still capable of producing at a very high level. Ultimately his team lost, but he had kept Robert Lewandoswki quiet all game, and at no stage did he look out of place in the biggest game in club football.

If he plays like this, Chelsea will be getting a top option for their defence.
