The writer revealed – with enough certainty that you can be sure he’s got it from a top source – that Thiago Silva, fresh from playing in the Champions League final on Sunday night, will sign for Chelsea tomorrow.
Given he’s a free agent, it’s no surprise that the deal has been done quickly. There is no other club to negotiate with, and Chelsea have been able to get down to brass tacks on contract terms right from the off.
Once he’s completed a medical, which could well happen today, all that will remain will be a nice photo with Marina, holding his new Blue shirt.
