Chelsea have just been beaten 4-1 by Bayern Munich, 7-1 on aggregate, as part of a comprehensive footballing education given to Frank Lampard’s team by the Germans.
Robert Lewandoswki and co. showed no mercy, shredding the Blues’ midfield and defence time and again as they cruised to another easy win.
The fact they were so fresh, and had so much quality on the bench, didn’t help either, as Chelsea looked entirely helpless in the face of a ruthless Munich side.
There were still some unacceptably bad moments in the team’s defending, and fans on Twitter weren’t happy about some of the play from their players on the field, as you can see in the Tweets embedded here:
