Manchester United ignite interest in long-term Chelsea target

Alex Telles has just won the title with Porto, and might now feel that this is the time to make a move.

He’s spent a few years developing his game in the Liga NOS, and any fan of this site will have read countless rumours connecting him with a transfer to Stamford Bridge over the years.

But now our interest appears to have turned elsewhere, with Ben Chilwell and now Sergio Reguilon apparently higher priorities for us.

That’s made space for Manchester United to get involved with Telles, and according to A Bola they’re very interested in bringing the Brazilian to Old Trafford. Luke Shaw has been more competent in the last 12 months, but still hasn’t made the same impact expected of him.

If Telles ends up being a smash hit there it will be a bitter blow for those Chelsea fans who have wanted the former Galatasaray man for years now.
