“If he’s willing to push it then a deal can get done” – Chelsea deal for left back hinges on player

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is targeting a number of new players in the transfer market this summer in what is an exciting time for the club.

Lampard has a number of areas where he is looking to improve in, and one of them as a priority is left back.

The Blues have looked at three left back’s, according to Matt Law of The Telegraph.

Ben Chilwell of Leicester City, Nicolas Tagliafico of Ajax, and Lucas Digne of Everton.

But Law, speaking on the London is Blue Podcast, confirms that Chilwell remains Chelsea’s first choice target.

However, the deal will be difficult to complete due to Leicester not needing the money and already being in a good financial position.

But a deal can be done, Law believes, but only if Chilwell himself asks for the move.

Law states “If he’s willing to push it then a deal can get done.”

But he also doubts whether Chilwell will want to be seen to be pushing a move. We will see…
