Chelsea are very much in the market for a new left back this summer, with a host of names being linked.
Most recently there has been new links with Real Madrid left back, Sergio Reguilon, as confirmed by Fabrizio Romano on The Beautiful Game Podcast.
But as Romano has confirmed on the same podcast, neither Reguilon, or Nicolas Tagliafico, are first choice options for that area, that remains Ben Chilwell of Leicester City.
In fact, Romano says that “Frank Lampard is in love with Chilwell and wants him” at Chelsea.
He says that the England international is the priority target for Lampard and Chelsea this summer and that they continue to try and thrash that deal out.
Chelsea will have to do a lot of convincing if they are to get his club to sell him though, and it seems like they have every intention of trying to keep hold of their asset.
