Emerson could be sold for just £15m as Frank Lampard plans Chelsea clearout

If you want to talk about players who haven’t taken advantage of the chances they’ve had, Emerson Palmieri has to be near the top of the list.

In fact the more the left back has played, the more frustrated most fans have become. He’s had several spells in the first team since arriving from Roma, and never managed to cement himself in the side for more than a few weeks before being dropped.

Chelsea seem to have given up all hope of him having any success at the club now, and according to FootballInsider Inter Milan are plotting a bid for the player who is “valued between £15m-18m”.

That would not be a great return on a player they paid more for a few years ago, but at this stage clearing space in the squad for new arrivals is a priority, and if they’re offed that kind of sum they might be inclined to accept.

On the other hand, with plenty of time to run on his contract, we might see him loaned out to try and inflate his value a little before he’s sold.
