Christian Pulisic was Chelsea’s best player following the coronavirus restart, but the injury he picked out will prevent him from making an impact at the start of next season.
He limped off with a hamstring problem just after halftime against Arsenal in the FA Cup final, looking in serious pain.
Now TalkSport have an exclusive report that he will miss “4-5 weeks.”

That’s pretty standard for this kind of injury, and probably doesn’t include the possible time to get up to speed after that.
The new season starts on the 12th of September, so he will be cutting it very fine for the first game. As it stands, it’s hard to see him being fully match fit for the season opener.
That’s a blow to Frank Lampard’s Blues, but we will be able to play our two (and possibly more) new signings by then, significantly strengthening this squad, and meaning we will be less affected by the loss of Pulisic.
