Chelsea’s left back chase could end up circular as Leicester pursue Nicolas Tagliafico

As always, Premier League clubs are operating in a limited pool of players, with all the big sides sniffing around the same targets.

You can end up with a pretty circular market, and that seems like it’s going to happen with Chelsea’s left back search.

The Blues have long been linked with Ben Chilwell of Leicester (as reported here by TalkSport).

They’ve also been connected with Nicolas Tagliafico of Ajax, as Sky Sports note here.

Today, CalcioMercato in Italy join the dots by writing that Leicester are sounding out Tagliafico as a potential Chilwell replacement.

That would make sense for them – he’s a great and affordable option and seems available to extent to the Ajax are willing to let him go for the right price.

But if Chelsea spend huge money on Chilwell and Leicester end up with the better player, we might end up full of regret that we weren’t the ones to make the move ourselves.
