Chelsea speaking with Leverkusen about Kai Havertz ‘instalments’ on the fee

The Kai Havertz to Chelsea transfer saga seems straight forward, but also rather time consuming.

Most sources are in agreement that it is a matter of when rather than if, but as Havertz gets ready to play for his club Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League tonight, some Chelsea fans will be concerned about the deal.

But there really is nothing to worry about according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who expects the deal to be confirmed after Leverkusen finish their Europa League campaign.

Romano has been speaking about the subject on The Beautiful Game Podcast, and it all sounds very positive for Blues fans.

It appears that as well as getting the European competitions done, Chelsea are just discussing how the instalment plan will work for the deal, says Romano.

He says that Havertz and Chelsea have a ‘total agreement’ for him to join them and he has no intentions of waiting for another year to leave, it is literally just a case of the instalment plan being agreed.
