Chelsea set to miss out on Ethan Ampadu’s heir

Chelsea are always looking to hoover up the latest young talents, but for once it seems like they’ve missed out on a true prodigy.

A few years ago they secured Ethan Ampadu from Exeter after the teenager had broken all sorts of records. Now there’s a new talent emerging from the Grecians’ academy, and he’s even younger than his predecessor.

Ben Chrisene is in demand from every top team in Europe – he went to watch a Liverpool game on Jurgen Klopp’s invitation, and trained with Bayern Munich’s youth team. But despite all that, according to The Sun, it’s Aston Villa who have managed to persuade him to join them.

“He’s going to play at the top level, it’s as simple as that,” his manager Matt Taylor is quoted as saying.

Sadly that “top level” will not be Stamford Bridge it appears. Lucky we still have Ethan, hopefully ready to make the step up after a year in Germany.
