Chelsea are very close to sealing the deal to sign Leicester City left back Ben Chilwell.
Multiple reports are now claiming Chilwell will arrive as a Chelsea player this week making a £50 million move to Stamford Bridge, as per the recent lowdown from Goal.
Despite suffering a heel injury that is expected to keep the England international out for the next few weeks, Chelsea have no concerns over completing the deal and we expect an announcement any time in the next few days.
Chelsea could immediately make back half of the money they are using to sign Chilwell, by selling Emerson Palmieri.
As per the same report from Goal, Chelsea are asking for £26 million for their Italian international left back, and there is interest from Inter Milan.
This will be a great bit of business from Chelsea effectively meaning that Chilwell will only be costing them £24 million, and he is a clear upgrade on Emerson.
