Chelsea are on the brink of confirming a deal to sign Leicester City left back, Ben Chilwell.
The story escalated yesterday afternoon and Chelsea are now very close to agreeing a deal to sign the England international, after completing a medical already.

In a deal that will cost Chelsea around £45m-£50m, Chilwell has always been the priority of Blues boss Frank Lampard.
So with Chilwell expected to arrive early next week, Chelsea will currently have three left backs at the club, one must leave.
That will not be Marcos Alonso, according to the reliable Sky Italy reporter Angelo Mangiante. He believes Alonso ‘will stay’ at Chelsea despite the arrival of Chilwell.

and Havertz. #Chelsea is ready to complete the three transfers early next week. Great players, including Werner and Ziyech.

This means a very likely Chelsea departure for Italian international, Emerson Palmieri, who has been linked to Inter Milan on a number of occasions.
Lampard has usually favoured Alsono over Emerson throughout the season, with the latter not really getting much of a look in.
It is also wise for Lampard to keep Alonso for his aerial ability and goal scoring threat.
