‘Chelsea hope’ to finalise Kai Havertz deal ‘in the coming days’ with structured agreement

Chelsea are growing increasingly optimistic about sealing a deal to sign Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen, according to the reliable Mohamed Bouhafsi of RMC Sport.

The reporter tweeted last night that Chelsea remain deep in discussions with Bayer Leverkusen regarding a structured deal for Havertz, meaning that a fee has likely been proposed and the only thing holding it up now is how this fee will be paid in instalments and bonuses.

Bouhafsi believes that it will be finalised ‘in the coming days.’

The contract has been agreed between Havertz and Chelsea, and the German international will be arriving at Stamford Bridge on a 5-year contract.

Havertz still has Europa League games left to play for Bayer, and they could face an exit as soon as Monday night as they go up against Antonio Conte’s Inter.

Blues fans will be hoping that their former head coach will do them a massive favour here!
