Football is football, so any team selection is quickly scrutinised and criticised.
That’s the case even when the manger picks an unchanged lineup, as Frank Lampard did for Chelsea today.
The Blues line up with the same XI that beat Wolves last weekend, but despite that there are plenty of doubters wishing he’d done something a little different.
Chelsea fans on Twitter are never content – there are complaints about N’Golo Kante and Callum Hudson-Odoi not starting, and about Mason Mount starting on the wing.
Those are ridiculous issues to have for anyone who has actually been paying attention in the last few weeks. Kante isn’t fully fit, Hudson-Odoi’s form isn’t great, and Mount has been playing in this exact role in the 343 week after week in recent times.
