Chelsea and AC Milan getting closer to Tiemoue Bakayoko deal

The purchase of Tiemoue Bakayoko has turned out to be a disaster for Chelsea not only because of his poor performances in his only season at Stamford Bridge, but also because of how difficult it’s proving to be to move him on.

After just one season at Stamford Bridge the club had had enough and sent him packing on loan to AC Milan and then more recently to Monaco. But he hasn’t hit the heights that he did before the Blues bought him, and so they’re struggling to recoup the £40m they paid for him in any deal they arrange now.

Still, he did enough in Milan to warrant a second spell, and according to the Evening Standard this morning, the Italian side are getting closer to agreeing a deal with Chelsea.

It will be a loan with an option to buy, hopefully allowing Chelsea to be rid of the France midfielder sooner rather than later, while allowing Milan another season to try before they buy.
