Champions League game a chance for winger to make big statement

Chelsea face Bayern Munich on Saturday in what looks like an impossible task.

The Blues find themselves 3-0 against Bayern Munich in the Champions League round of 16 second leg, and they are more playing for pride than anything else.

But we should never say never, and anything can happen in football as we have seen so many times in the past.

One player who will and should be treating the game like a Cup Final is young winger Callum Hudson-Odoi.

The 19-year old is very likely to start the game in the absence of both Pedro and Willian from the Chelsea squad, and he has a big chance to make a statement to Frank Lampard.

The England international has largely been used just off the bench this season after recovering from a major injury.

But even still, he would have hoped for more game time since football restarted after lock down. So Saturday is a big chance for him to really prove his worth and show Lampard what he can do when given the chances.
