It’s been clear for some time that Chelsea are going to be selling multiple players this summer, but it’s only new becoming clear who is on their list.
Victor Moses, Tiemoue Bakayoko and others who have been out on loan have always looked likely to go. But now players who have played regularly for Frank Lampard’s first team this season have been added to the list.
That’s according to Sky Sports, who write a whole list up and claim that “one third” of the first team squad is available for transfer.
Kepa, Jorginho, Rudiger, Zouma, you name it. All of them can go at the right price, with major reinforcements already on the way to replace them.
Some of those will see almost universal agreement from fans when it comes to leaving – there aren’t many Michy Batshuayi defenders left. But others – like Zouma – will have more defenders, no pun intended.
It will be difficult to shift every last one of them, but it would be no surprise at all to see 5 or 6 squad players shown the door this summer.
