Yesterday there was an exclusive story ran by The Daily Mirror that had Chelsea fans tongues waggling.
They claimed that Chelsea were prioritising a move for a goalkeeper that is considered by many as one of the best in the world, Jan Oblak.
The report believes that Chelsea could offer current number one Kepa Arrizabalaga as a make-weight in the deal for the Atletico Madrid stopper.
Spanish media have today picked up the story, and AS claim that they are hearing from their own sources that Chelsea ARE looking to sign Oblak, and they are willing to spend 100 million euros on the Slovenian international.
Although they don’t directly claim that Kepa could be involved in the deal, they do cite ‘British media’ in suggesting that the Spanish international could end up as part of the deal.
This would be a massive coup for Chelsea if it did happen, but obviously it is just rumours right now. Worth keeping an eye on.
