Report: Chelsea open talks to sign world class goalkeeper

Chelsea have a real goalkeeper situation on their hands, and it is something that Frank Lampard will be addressing as soon as the FA Cup Final is over this weekend.

He has clearly become unhappy with current number one stopper Kepa Arrizabalaga, having dropped him for the final league game of the season on Sunday.

There are a host of names mentioned as potential replacements, but it is unclear whether Chelsea are going to try and sell Kepa, loan him, or even keep him and just bring in some more quality competition.

Either way, it looks highly likely that Chelsea will be signing a new goalkeeper this summer.

There has been whispers of world class keeper Jan Oblak of Atletico Madrid being a potential target, despite his high release clause.

Self-proclaimed ‘transfer expert’ Nicolo Schira claims that Chelsea have opened talks with Oblak’s agent over a potential move.

This seems like a pretty unlikely deal, but stranger things have happened!
