Chelsea have already made two big signings ahead of next summer, but not every fan is happy.
Plenty of them think it’s essential to add a new face in goal, where Kepa Arrizabalaga has disappointed this season.
The rumours have been flying around that Kepa could go and a new player come in, but by the sounds of things, the Spaniard isn’t expecting to go anywhere anytime soon.
In an exclusive on TalkSport, the former Athletic Bilbao man even talked about his new teammates and how excited he was to play with them when the 2020/2021 campaign kicks off in September.
“The group of players we have in that dressing room and that squad is of a very high standard,” Kepa said.
“On paper, we’ve got a stunning group of players. The arrival of the two new lads, Werner and Ziyech, they’ve shown they’ve got great stats and they can put in some great performances.
“Next season does look very promising. Let’s hope they can help us to improve on what we’ve done this season.
“Hopefully they will improve our squad and improve our team. Together, as a group, we can work hard and achieve the targets we’ll be setting ourselves next season, which will be high targets.”
It doesn’t sound like he thinks he’s going anywhere, and it’s hard to imagine who would take him on at this stage anyway. We already know we’re adding serious firepower up front- we might just have to wait a little before we get the chance to add equal quality in goal.
