Jorginho looks set to leave Chelsea after missing out for teenager once again

Chelsea have just announced their team for tonight’s game against Crystal Palace, and as some had suspected, Billy Gilmour is the man to step in to fill in for the injured N’Golo Kante at the base of midfield.

No surprise there really, as Frank Lampard clearly rates the young Scot, and has already given him a start and brought him on as a sub for Kante in the game against Watford at the weekend.

But what’s really eyebrow-raising about this is the fact that it means that Jorginho has been left out once again. The experienced Italy international was a regular feature for Frank Lampard before the break, but has now fallen down the pecking order dramatically.

The fact that a 19 year old with just a couple of senior starts is now preventing the former Napoli man from even stepping foot on the pitch looks to have massively increased his chances of leaving this summer.
