Chelsea lost 3-0 to Sheffield United in the Premier League last night in what was quite frankly a disgraceful performance from all involved.
Nobody escapes the blame, every player was poor and the coaches made some odd decisions. It was collectively the worst performance Chelsea have put out all season.
Not only did it cost them three points and put in jeopardy their chances of qualifying for the Champions League next season, it also put in doubt the club’s pursuit of German international Kai Havertz.
This is according to reliable BILD writer Christian Falk, who has tweeted this morning that Champions League football remains ‘important’ in order ‘to convince’ Havertz to join Chelsea.
Update @kaihavertz29 & @ChelseaFC: Havertz wants to leave @bayer04fussball already this summer because the club has not qualified for Champions League. Because of that it would be important for @ChelseaFC to qualify for Champions League to convince him

Chelsea are still in third place in the league but could easily drop to 5th if both Manchester United and Leicester City win their games in hand.
Leicester are away to Bournemouth today, and United are home against Southampton tomorrow. It’s not looking great.
