Chelsea target Kai Havertz due for meeting, Bayern ‘does not bid’, Real Madrid ‘hesitating’

It looks like Chelsea could well get a free run at signing Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz this summer as rival teams look unlikely to make their moves.

Havertz will have a meeting with his club to decide what to do about his future after playing in the German Cup Final yesterday.

This is according to the reliable BILD writer Christian Falk, who posted the key update via his Twitter account yesterday. Falk claims Bayern will not bid for Havertz, and Real Madrid are ‘hesitating.’

He cites Chelsea’s interest once again, and this is off the back of The Telegraph reporting that Chelsea will make their first offer for Havertz after yesterday’s game.

Chelsea beat Watford yesterday 3-0 in the Premier League but despite the scoreline, The Blues once again showed why they need an extra creative attacker after having all the possession but failing to really capitalise until late in the game.

Havertz certainly brings you that attacking flair and creativity needed to provide more finesse in the final third.
