Chelsea are considering offloading current number one goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga.
This is according to the reliable David Ornstein, writing on his Monday column over at The Athletic.
Today’s report features a whole segment on how Chelsea are looking at replacements for Kepa. But they could have issues selling the Spanish international due to his his wages and fee.
Chelsea paid €80 million for Kepa, so they will surely have to take a significant loss if they sell him now. Another option could be to loan him out with an obligation to buy, paying some of his wages.
As per the same report, Chelsea are looking at Ajax stopper Andre Onana, and Manchester United’s Dean Henderson as potential replacements.
Onana would be available for around €30 million and Chelsea have been in regular contact with his representatives.
The Cameroon international is said to be keen on a move to Chelsea, and he sits high amongst the clubs priorities.
Onana seems more achievable than Henderson at this point.
